GLOCK 17 Gen5 FR Coyote, the "French Army style" pistol is available from June for civilians in a limited special edition. Sporting a distinctive coyote-colored frame and black slide, the G17 Gen5 is the new French Army service pistol since 2020. That same version is now for the civilian market.
The G17 FR pistols underwent stringent testing and emerged triumphant from stiff competition from all the usual contenders. This specific configuration of the G17 Gen5 FR is the first Gen5 pistol model featuring a coyote coloured frame.
Why Coyote not Flat Dark Earth (FDE)?
Coyote Brown works well with other solid colours, such as Brown Grey (Ranger Green) and Black. It also combines exceptionally well with camouflage patterns of almost every type. After being thoroughly tested during the tender process the Glock 17 Gen 5 FR Coyote is currently being deployed to several user groups within the French Armed Forces. They describe their new sidearm as: “ convincingly precise, reliable and easy to train.”
